Ginger Armbruster, Chief Privacy Officer

I currently serve as the City of Seattle’s Chief Privacy Officer. I lead a team of privacy specialists in the execution of the City’s Privacy Program, which takes a principles-based approach to the City’s management of the public’s personal and sensitive information. Prior to this role, I worked for Microsoft as the Senior Privacy Manager for the Office marketing team, on an international team of privacy and legal specialists to resolve privacy issues associated with multi-million-dollar marketing initiatives.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York City. As a recipient of the National Science Foundation’s Scholarship for Service Program, I earned my Master’s degree in Infrastructure Planning and Management from the University of Washington in 2013, focusing on cybersecurity issues related to critical infrastructure.

David Doyle, Open Data Manager

David Doyle is the Open Data Manager at the City of Seattle, where he oversees the implementation of the City’s Open Data Policy and the development of the City’s Open Data platform (https://data.seattle.gov). His work also involves engaging with the public to increase awareness of the City’s open data, as well as how those data can provide value for all sections of our community. Prior to moving to the City of Seattle in September 2016, he had an 18 year career at Microsoft where he managed software engineering and data science teams within the Operating Systems division. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences (Computer Science & Physics) (Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland)  and Master’s degrees in Technology Management (University College Dublin, Ireland) and Policy Studies (UW Bothell).

Danelle Court

Danelle Court started at the City of Bellevue as a Public Records Analyst six years ago, and is currently the Records Management Program Manager. The majority of Danelle’s public records career has been in the local government sector, namely King County and City of Bellevue, with a brief stint at the federal level at NARA as an intern. As the Records Management Program Manager Danelle oversees the implementation and monitoring of RCW 40.14 Preservation and Destruction of Public Records, which includes oversight of the Records Management Program and the Enterprise Content Management Program (ECM).
Danelle began her career in records management after completing her master’s degree from the Western Washington University history program in archives and records management.

Suzanne received her master's degree from the University of Washington Information School in library and information science in 2015 and has worked for the City of Bellevue since 2014. As a Public Records Analyst, she supports the Records Management Program and the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Program. Before working for the City of Bellevue, Suzanne worked in records for 11 years - at a record store in Seattle.

His history includes management of the Imaging program for the Washington State Archives, operations management of one of the largest Computer Output Microfilm (COM) service bureaus in the USA, and extensive sales and consulting experience recommending and implementing ECM and Business Process Optimization (BPO) solutions.

Robert Johnson

Robert Johnson is CEO and founder of NAID, the industry watchdog for the secure information destruction industry. He has testified before the United States Senate and the Canadian Parliament on the importance of secure information disposal. He is considered a leading authority on the topics of secure disposal, and data protection regulations, policy development and compliance. He authored the textbook Information Disposition: A Practical Guide to the Secure and Compliant Disposal of Records, Media and I.T. Assets, which is the only book dedicated to this subject, and he will soon be a guest lecturer at Arizona State University.

Leslie Turner has been in the field of records and information for decades, and self-proclaimed "records goddess".  Prior to her present position as Public Records Administration Consultant for FreeDoc, she worked for over a decade for Washington State Archives with a focus on digital records and was the lead for the Archives for the stakeholder group that proposed and brought to life the statewide contract for ECM systems.  Prior to the Archives, she worked as the Department of Ecology as both a records manager and public disclosure coordinator for their SW Regional Office.  Been there, done that too!

Rachel Price is the director of Moving Image Preservation of Puget Sound. She completed an M.A. in Moving Image Archive Studies from UCLA in 2009. Prior to entering the program, she was the project lead for an access and digitization project of the film collection at the Seattle Municipal Archives, where she had previously volunteered. She was a DJ at community radio and Pacifica affiliate KBCS-FM for 14 years. She produced a series of animated shorts about seabirds, which screened at festivals worldwide, and is a producer for an upcoming documentary about taxidermy.
